Unfortunately, love and compassion have been omitted from too many spheres of social interaction for too long. Usually confined to family and home, their practice in public life is considered impractical, even naive. This is tragic.

In this century we have made remarkable material progress, but basically we are the same as we were thousands of years ago. Our spiritual needs are still very great.

All major religions carry the same messages--messages of love, compassion, forgiveness, tolerance, contentment, and self-discipline. I have Muslim friends, Christian friends. All have these same values.
