- Use your legs to brace your lower body.
Place your feet behind the pedals and use your leg muscles to press your body back into the seat. - Push your upper body against the seat.
Grab the steering wheel at three and nine o'clock and push with your arms, elbows tucked in, pressing your torso far back into the seat. - Secure your head and neck.
- Tense all of your muscles to press your body against the seat.
- If the car lands upright with the engine running, steer away from obstructions.
If the car lands on its roof, turn off the ignition. - Carefully remove your seat belt.
Brace your hands and feet against the roof before unlatching the belt. - Escape from the car and run.
If you cannot open the door, roll down or bust open the window.
