Well, it's done so now I can show everyone. Saturday morning,
cellymcfae and I trekked in to DC so
inkygypsy could finish up my tattoo. The design is all hers. I told her I wanted a New Orleans based tattoo that included an old fashioned street lamp, the Bourbon Street sign, beads ("OW! Those fucking beads!" became a mantra.), and two wedding rings (We honeymooned in New Orleans.)
I think she did a FANTASTIC job. The colors are amazing. It's about 9 inches high by 7 inches wide and is on my right calf. I think we figured it took about 7 hours and three visits to finish. And let me tell ya, the calf is not a fun place to get ink. Every once in a while she'd hit a nerve cluster and my foot would start twitching on it's own.
Naturally I already have plans for my next piece...
