I thought about that but I really want to keep these posts public and filtering them would limit them to only people on my friend's list. I do try to label them clearly with the icons and the tags so it should be fairly easy to scroll right past them.
If you use Firefox for a browser you can use this greasemonkey script (http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/18855) to filter posts by tags or keywords.
