Mar. 10th, 2006 02:37 pmLast night I raced home, changed clothes and hopped on the bike for some Two-Wheeled Therapy. First stop was the gas station where I filled up on gas and air. (::pauses for the fart jokes::) Then I headed over to Martinsburg with the half-baked idea of finding a new cycle shop I heard about on a biker forum. I say "half-baked" because no one actually posted directions or even the name of the shop; just a lot of landmarks. I thought I had a general idea where it was and besides the phrase "it's not the destination, it's the journey" is never more true than on a motorcycle.
Turns out I was looking at the wrong end of town so I never did find the place. But that's okay because that just means I'll have to go looking for it again sometime! ;) Once it got dark I decided to head home because A) just being out on the bike again was heaven, B) it was getting a bit nipply and C) Survivor: Exile Island was coming on and I had a chatroom date with three lovlies.
This morning, as planned, I rode into work. Luckily traffic was lighter than usual so I didn't have to "penquin-walk" very much. At lunch I went out and got my hair cut short again because helmet head is nobody's friend. Now I sit in a stuffy and slightly overheated office wishing I could take a nap and counting down the minutes until I can leave (53 for those keeping score).
