Not my wife :) But indeedy, Every Breath You Take is the ringtone in question (because I jokingly accused David of stalking me when I first got the phone) I remember thinking I hadn't heard the song on the radio in 25 years, there was no way...maybe it was oldies weekend. Who knew? No matter, it wasn't the phone.
