Transportation: Balloons
Jan. 19th, 2011 08:56 amOne of the most primitive flying machines is actually one of the most efficient. A balloon, either hot-air or helium, can remain aloft for weeks. The disadvantage, however, is a lack of propulsion. Balloons depend largely on wind and thermal currents to carry them. Unless you have extensive experience, heading off in a balloon may do little more than leave you hanging helplessly above hostile ground.

Date: 2011-01-19 04:31 pm (UTC)That would be a fucking depressing movie. Especially when Toto gets eaten.
I hate seeing animals suffer. Except if it were like, a really mean nasty animal. Like Jaws. Or those Morlocks from that movie about the time machine. I forget who starred in that, but I know that two of the co-stars were Sebastian Cabot, better known as Mister French on "Family Affair" and this other guy who's name escapes me, but I know he was on a TV show in the 60s.
I always thought Sebastian Cabot was kind of sexy. Could be the beard.
